Early Lead For Neosho High School Seals Fate For Monett Varsity Lady cubs
 

Monett Varsity Lady cubs fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 12-2 loss to Neosho High School on Monday.  Neosho High School scored on an error, a single by #7, and a single by #8 in the first inning.

The Monett Varsity Lady cubs struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Neosho High School, giving up 12 runs.

Neosho High School scored four runs in the second inning.  The offensive onslaught by Neosho High School was led by 20, 16, and #24, who all drove in runs.

#28 took the win for Neosho High School. The bulldog surrendered two runs on one hit over five innings, striking out six.

Abby Inman took the loss for Monett Varsity Lady cubs. The righty allowed 12 hits and 11 runs over four innings.

Ashtyn Blakey went 1-for-3 at the plate to lead Monett Varsity Lady cubs in hits.

Neosho High School totaled 12 hits in the game.  #3, #1, #14, and #8 each managed multiple hits for Neosho High School.  Neosho High School tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases. #3 led the way with two.
