Reeds Spring Captures Lead Early To Defeat Monett Monett Lady Cubs Varsity
Monett Monett Lady Cubs Varsity watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 4-0 loss to Reeds Spring on Thursday. Reeds Spring took the lead on a double in the first inning.
Reeds Spring fired up the offense in the first inning, when Scobee doubled on a 0-2 count, scoring two runs.
One bright spot for Monett Monett Lady Cubs Varsity was a single by Kaesha George in the first inning.
Erickson led things off in the pitcher's circle for Reeds Spring. She lasted seven innings, allowing one hit and zero runs while striking out 18.
Kassie McCallister was on the rubber for Monett Monett Lady Cubs Varsity. She lasted six innings, allowing eight hits and four runs while striking out four and walking one.
George led Monett Monett Lady Cubs Varsity with one hit in three at bats.
