Cubs Sweep Duals, Break Records, & Punch Ticket to State Meet

The Monett Cubs Swimming & Diving Team competed in their first home meet of the season and swam away from the competition, sweeping the dual meets for the day. The 200 Medley Relay Team of Brayden Selvey, Jude Rosebaugh, Jack Barta and Logan Umfleet made the Automatic State Cut Time and set a new Pool Record in the process. Benji Lesué also set a new Varsity Record and Pool Record in the 1-meter diving competition. Also, Barta set a new Varsity Record in the 100 Fly and sits just 0.20 seconds off an automatic cut there.
Many other great performances were turned in, including:
- 200 Freestyle: Blake Pachner - Dropped 24 seconds from last year!
- 50 Freestyle: Jude Rosebaugh - 1st overall; Made Consideration State Cut
- 100 Freestyle: Brayden Selvey - 1st overall
- 500 Freestyle: Jake Balmas - 1st overall
- 100 Backstroke: Brayden Selvey - 1st overall
