The Monett Swim & Dive team was victorious in its season opening invitational with 425 points, besting Webb City and Nevada with 342 and 288 points, respectively.  Many personal bests were set as the Cubs took first in 5 of the 12 events.

• Diving - Lesue (1st); King (3rd)
• 100 Fly - Umfleet (2nd)

Logan Umfleet also bested his own varsity record from 2016 in the 200 IM with a time of 2:10.84 and broke the 100 Fly Record previously held by Josh Pitts with a time of 58.18.
